Intention
There's purpose behind each image. Portraits begin by anchoring in presence, something you don’t always get with rapid shooting.
I draw inspiration from natural light and the sacred mundane of life.
I create photos for people who want to capture the real moments in their lives. The quiet connections, the little joys, and the honest unposed beauty that often goes unseen. My work holds space for presence and authenticity inviting you to slow down and be seen exactly as you are.
The Mystic Muse began as a personal practice to ground myself and reconnect with my creativity. It has grown into a
way I help others find that same calm and connection through photography.
With an MFA in Photography from SCAD, years of teaching art and training in yoga, I bring a blend of technical skill and mindful presence to every session. My approach is calm and collaborative focused on creating space for you to show up fully and authentically.
FAQ
What is it like to work with me?
Working with me is collaborative and flexible. Before the session, we can have a call or meet briefly so I can answer any questions and we can get to know each other. During the session, I guide people through poses or movements while keeping things natural, encouraging real interactions rather than stiff or forced poses. My goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and at ease so the session runs smoothly. The process is relaxed, and I work intuitively to capture moments that reflect the person or people being photographed.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
Travel is included for locations within a 50 mile radius of Hartford, CT. For locations beyond that range, additional travel fees will be determined at the time of booking.

What types of people book a Mystic Muse photo session?

At the heart of it, Mystic Muse photo sessions are for anyone who values authenticity over posing and wants photos that feel natural, creative, and full of soul. Whether they are families, mothers, couples, creative entrepreneurs, or simply as souls who want to pause and be present.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
I make the final call the morning of the session, taking current conditions and your comfort level into account. I am happy to photograph in rain or snow as long as the weather is safe and not stormy. If you prefer to postpone due to weather, we will discuss alternative dates that work for both of us. Please note that refunds are not offered for inclement weather and all sales are final.
